Academics are seeking 2 experienced Learning Support Assistants to join a SEN School in the New Forest area to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have been provided with funding. These are full-time positions to start ASAP.
The suitable candidates will have experience of supporting children with special educational needs, ideally within an SEN environment. You must be empathetic, nurturing, kind but firm, be able to manage varying levels of challenging behaviour and have the ability to think on your feet and adapt to situations on the spot. Due to this, you must have recent experience of working with children.
This is a challenging environment to work in, but also very rewarding. Children that attend this school do display various levels of challenging behaviour combined with other complex needs. This role is suited to someone who enjoys the variation of working in this type of environment, and with a passion and love for working with and supporting children with special educational needs.
You will be joining an experienced, very supportive team of senior leaders, teachers, and support staff and will be provided with the necessary training.
You will require either a clear child workforce related DBS which is on the DBS update service, or be required to pay for a new one to be processed.
