Join a team of investigators aiming to discover and evaluate new pharmacological treatments for ailments that afflict the skeleton using in vivo mouse models.
The successful candidate will be responsible performing microCT imaging and quantitation of bone specimens, preparing printouts for review and analyzing related data, inputting data into Excel or other repositories, and maintaining equipment, electronic databases and quality control reporting. In addition, ability to employ a combination of techniques among animal experimentation (dosing, implants, surgeries or fluid collection), densitometry, bone histomorphometry, histology or in vitro molecular assays (e.g. ELISA) is a must. Additional requirements include providing regular updates, documentation, and communication of experiment results as appropriate.
Requirement:
- BS or MS in relevant discipline with 5+ years of research experience.
- Working knowledge of animal models and imaging.
- Ability to work independently, executing experiments with limited supervision, and receptiveness to take scientific direction from team leaders and scientists.
- Ability to function effectively in inter-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to work across projects in parallel rather than being dedicated to a small subset of projects for long periods of time.
- Excellent communication, documentation and organization skills.
