Range of Responsibility:
This Call Center is a 7/24 hour operation. Responds to customer calls, assessing a customer’s requirements and determining the most cost effective solution(s) to a customer’s problems. The incumbent provides advanced and subject matter technical consulting to customers and company staff distinguishing among hardware, reagent and/or software issues in order to dispatch the appropriate resource at minimum company expense; collects and analyzes data to enhance customer satisfaction; and classifies customer complaint information according to FDA requirement before forwarding it for resolution.
The incumbent serves as a subject matter department advisor in areas such as: software, electro-mechanical, or chemistry.
Education and Experience Required:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry or Biology preferred
· Candidates for the position that possess the following are preferred: A background in clinical laboratory chemistry with experience in a clinical laboratory setting or a related field.
· The ability to apply a logical decision making process towards the resolution of chemistry as well as hardware related problems.
· Medical Technology License preferred
· Other essential duties include, but are not limited to:
· Experience in operating any or a variety of Beckman Coulter instrumentation such as the Synchron CX, LX, and UniCell DXC series, Datalink, Immage, Array, and Electrophoresis products would be a plus.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Knowledge of basic computer operation.
