Position Purpose:
Provide case management and clinical services to employees within their regulated scope of practice Major Responsibilities: • Manage Short Term Disability by tracking claims and communicate case status to employees, supervisors/mangers, hrSource, Human Resources and healthcare providers. • Facilitate and be a resource to employees in a smooth transitional (modified) or full return to work assignments. • Coordinate work site evaluations to include ergonomic analysis, job descriptions/demands and RTW restrictions. • Performs patient care activities such as triage, counseling, patient education, acute or emergency visits, first aid, and other activities as needed or directed • Provides care for patients with occupational injuries and illnesses; includes notifications required for work-related injuries and illnesses • Provides nursing care to patients with non-work-related acute medical problems • Provides preventive medicine and wellness services and counseling • Supports site health promotion and disease prevention programs • Documents patient data in electronic medical database(s), as per standard protocols Technical Competency Description: • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) • Americans with Disability Act (ADA) • Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) • Federal, state, or local public health regulations • Workers’ Compensation • OSHA , including recordkeeping • OSHA Blood-borne pathogen/Universal precautions Clinical Skills: • Perform phlebotomies, EKGs, etc • Administer immunizations and vaccinations • Perform Chain of Custody for post offer drug testing in accordance with Client’s substance abuse policy Skills Importance Experience Competency Nurse Practice Act Health Services: allccupational Health & Wellness - Registered Nurse:Certification/Compliance Training Required 7+ Years Advanced Experience/Education: • BA/BS in nursing degree and current RN license in New York State • Minimum of 5-10 years experience as an occupational nursing professional • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in case management, utilization review and/or quality assurance • Experience in acute episodic care, wellness care and counseling of adults • Proficiency in use of electronic medical record keeping systems desirable • BLS certification required; ACLS certification desirable • Case Management and COHN-S and preferred Notes : - Part time (3 days/week from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with flexibility) Contact: Hari The best telephone number to reach me is 973-481-0100 Ext: 3051.
