Job Description: The Research Scientist will perform research projects to be conducted on agricultural production impacts on environmental systems using Life Cycle Assessment by working in such programs as SAS and MS EXCEL. Successful applicants must have the ability to use Life Cycle assessment programs, systems modeling, and software for data analysis. The project will investigate the impacts of innovative feed and animal production management practices on greenhouse gas emissions, yield, and water quantity, among other indicators. The project will use systems models, data, and Life Cycle Assessment to compare and analyze impacts from agricultural production systems. The project will also document and prepare peer reviewed manuscripts for this work.
â¢ Ph.D. in chemical, biological, or related engineering discipline from an accredited institution of higher education
â¢ Experience with agricultural systems modeling, Life Cycle Assessment methodology
â¢ Experience in data management and Life Cycle Assessment
â¢ Experience with agricultural systems modeling
