Location: Dallas, TX
Postdoctoral positions will be available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Weibo Luo at the UT Southwestern Medical Center (http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/labs/luo-weibo) to study gene regulation and metabolic reprogramming by hypoxia-inducible factors in cancer (JCI 2018, 128(5): 1937-1955; NAR 2018, 46(13):6576-6591; Cell 2011, 145(5):732-44; PNAS 2012, 109(49): E3367-76). We are particularly interested in understanding the crosstalk of oxygen homeostasis, epigenetics, and metabolism in cancer initiation and progression. The cutting-edge techniques including proteomics, next generation sequencing, and metabolomics are used in our studies. Our research is supported by NCI, CPRIT, and private foundations.
We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a PhD or MD/PhD. Interested candidates must have 1) a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and oncology, 2) a strong publication record, and 3) good communication skills.
