Responsibilities â A position for postdoctoral research associate is available under the advisement of Dr. Wei Xu in direction of Marine Biomedicine. The successful applicant will be working in a recently funded biomedical research program to understand the environmental impacts on the toxicities of marine pollutants. Two types of animal models will be used in this project: mouse skin diseases and zebrafish xenograft models. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to further develop his/her skills in research, manuscript writing, and grant preparation. Dr. Xuâs lab has a research interest in environmental health and ecotoxicology and is located in a brand-new state-of-art research building for Life Sciences with a gorgeous ocean view.
Qualifications â (1) Recently graduated PhDs or obtained the PhD within last three years. (2) Knowledge in molecular biology, cell biology, and toxicology. Experience/knowledge in mouse handling and cell culture. Experience in zebrafish breeding and microinjection is a plus.
