A junior Postdoctoral position at IRCAN, Nice, France, is available for 3 years starting from November 1, 2019 (or later once a suitable candidate is identified). We are looking for a highly motivated researcher with a strong passion for science to join our lab. The successful candidates will use in vitro and in vivo approaches to investigate the molecular mechanisms of aging and the impact of depleting aged/senescent cells in different disorders. Our lab has recently developed several mouse models to track and to selectively eliminate p16High senescent cells and we have already obtained numerous interesting and unexpected results which require further analysis. Our ultimate goal is to find ways for significant life extension in mice and translation of this knowledge into humans.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the field of molecular and cellular biology. The knowledge of molecular mechanisms of aging, age-related disorders (especially in the liver, lung or gut) and in adeno-associated viral transduction is a plus.
