The studies focus on providing the mechanisms by which singlet molecular oxygen (</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">1</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">O2</span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">) and other “reactive oxygen species” play their physiological and pathological roles. <i>What mechanism connects </i></span><i><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">1</span></i><i><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">O2</span></i><i><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">with components of signalling pathways? A direct oxidation of a signalling component by </span></i><i><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">1</span></i><i><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">O2</span></i><i><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">should be considered.</span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 7.5pt; font-family: Calibri;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Strong efforts are the development of pure </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">1</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">O2 </span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">generators, synthesis of hydroperoxides derivatives, including isotopically labeled compounds. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 7.5pt; font-family: Calibri;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(34, 34, 34);">The position requires a PhD with a strong background in </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">1</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">O2 </span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(34, 34, 34);">chemiluminescence techniques, organic synthesis, cell culture models, </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">high performance liquid separation and </span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(34, 34, 34);">mass spectrometry</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">techniques</span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(34, 34, 34);">, and other biochemical approaches such as basic cell culture models.</span></p>
