Our studies focus on providing the mechanisms by which singlet molecular oxygen (</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">1</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">O2) </span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">and other “reactive oxygen species” play their physiological and pathological roles. With this project, we are especially interested in answering the following question: <i>What mechanism connects </i></span><i><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">1</span></i><i><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">O2 </span></i><i><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">with components of signalling pathways? </span></i></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; font-family: Calibri; text-align: justify; line-height: 18.399999618530273px;"><span lang="EN" style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">The elucidation of specific signalling molecules and their key roles in redox signalling processes in cells are the aims of the study.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 7.5pt; font-family: Calibri; text-align: justify; line-height: 18.399999618530273px;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(34, 34, 34);">The position requires a PhD with a background in cell culture models, </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">high performance liquid separation techniques,</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(34, 34, 34);"><span lang="EN-GB">mass spectrometry-based proteomics and bioinformatics to process posttranslational modifications and quantitative proteomics.  Other biochemical approaches such as </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial;">gel electrophoresis and Elisa are a plus.</span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.866666793823242px; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(34, 34, 34);"></span></p>
