postdoctoral research fellow on DNA nanotechnology

<p style="margin: 0px 0px 11px;"><font face="Calibri">We are seeking a research fellow for experimental research on dynamic DNA nanotechnology, including DNA motor-based chemical synthesis or advanced materials. The research will involve DNA nanomotors on origami platforms, and dynamic imaging with microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The research fellow will work in Molecular Motors Lab at Physics Department, National University of Singapore (for more information, please see lab website at </font><span style="margin: 0px;"><span style="margin: 0px; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif;"><a href="https://www.physics.nus.edu.sg/staff/wangzs.html"><font color="#0000ff">https://www.physics.nus.edu.sg/staff/wangzs.html</font></a></span></span><span style="margin: 0px; color: black;"><font face="Calibri">)</font></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0px 0px 11px;"><font face="Calibri">The opening is available from 1<font size="2">st</font> May 2019. The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of extension. The annual salary is $65,000 for Singapore dollar (roughly equivalent of US$ 48,000, inclusive of retirement and medical benefits etc.). </font></p>
<p style="margin: 0px 0px 11px;"><font face="Calibri">A doctorate degree is required, which can be in biophysics, bioengineering or any relevant areas. Previous research experience in high-resolution optical microscopy or liquid-phase atomic force microscopy is preferred. No experience in DNA nanotechnology is required, as the training will be provided for the appointed candidate. Ability for independent work, good communication skills and a spirit of team work are required as the research involves collaboration within and outside Singapore on regular basis. PhD holders with strong interest in technology-oriented interdisciplinary research are especially encouraged to apply for the position. </font></p>
