<div style="text-indent:35.45pt;line-height:150%"><span style="line-height:150%;font-family:" times="" new="">A full-time post-doctoral position is available for a motivated team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills within the Department of Anatomy, Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil studying skeletal muscle mass and regeneration control, atrogenes/E3 ligases expression and modulation of microRNAs levels in models </span><span style="line-height:150%;font-family:" times="" new="">in vivo</span><span style="
line-height:150%;font-family:" times="" new=""> and </span><span style="
line-height:150%;font-family:" times="" new="">in vitro</span><span style="line-height:150%;font-family:" times="" new="">.</span></div>

The successful candidate will work under the mentorship of an established principal investigator formulating hypotheses, designing and executing experiments for related to microRNAs and skeletal muscle plasticity. The candidate will be also responsible for supervising student trainees and laboratory facilities. The successful candidate will devote 100% effort.</div>
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.45pt; line-height: 150%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"><b>Minimum requirements:</b> Applicants must have a Ph.D. in, Molecular and Cellular Biology or related fields. Preference will be given to individuals with a proven experience on molecular biology of striated muscle. Applicants must have experience in a majority of following techniques: rat and mouse handling; experience in animal atrophy models; <i>in vivo</i> and <i>in vitro</i> modulation of microRNAs, skeletal muscle histology preparations; western blotting; fluorescence microscopy; real time PCR; culture of primary and other myoblasts cells lineages; siRNA, shRNA and miRNA vector construction; AAV vectors constructions for specific delivery on skeletal muscle. Candidates should be creative, personally motivated, excellent oral and written communication skills and a sense of teamwork. It is mandatory that applicants are fluent in English. The candidate is expected to prepare abstracts, scientific papers, annual reports and presentations.
