MD Anderson Postdoctoral Fellowships in Cancer Prevention (Deadline: Mon. Feb. 17, 2020)

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Cancer Prevention Research Training Program is now accepting applications for two (2) postdoctoral fellowships in cancer prevention:

1) The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cancer Prevention

-Training in cancer prevention & quantitative methods
-Up to 2 years support for salary at $51,000/year
-Allowance for research/professional development expenses
-At least one mentor must have a faculty appointment at MD Anderson in the Division of Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences (DCPPS)
-Preference will be given to applicants with a mentor from one of our partnering institutions: UT Health (excluding University of Texas School of Public Health), University of Houston, Texas A&M, Rice University
-Funded by an award from the Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), RP 170259, Drs. Shine Chang and Sanjay Shete, Principal Investigators

ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH FELLOWSHIPS:
-No citizenship requirements/restrictions
-Doctoral students must earn their degree within 5 months of application deadline
-Open to candidates with backgrounds in biomedical sciences, biostatistics, bioinformatics, epidemiology, behavioral sciences, social sciences, population and public health, and other disciplines relevant to cancer prevention
-All applicants will be considered for both fellowships
