Scientific Sales Lead

LifeCanvas Technologies is an MIT startup developing cutting-edge technologies that reshape biological tissue studies and microscopic analysis, with the mission of expediting breakthrough discoveries and improving human health. 

The Scientific Sales Lead is primarily responsible for driving the sales and marketing strategy and effort for the company's technologies and products. Additional responsibilites include, but are not limited to; acquiring technical knowledge of our solutions and creating compelling marketing content; conducting product demonstrations, training essions, and workshops for new and current users; providing scientific support; and, performing bench-work for our in-house sample processing service. 

Ideal candidates will have: 
  • Science- Ph.D in neuroscience, biology pathology or equivalent. Comfortable or have experience with fluorescent imaging, immunolabeling and biological sample handling
  • Excellent Communication - Tailors communication to the customer's needs with confidence. Effective presentatioon capabillities and ability to clearly present and deliver technical information. 
  • Scientific Writing - Ability to publish content (blog, white materials etc.) that resonates with users and effectively helps them understand the benefits of our technology pipeline
  • Strategic Thinking - Systemetically tackles problems and understands customer pain points, expectations and needs; regularly brainstorms with team members to come up with solutions that help our current and potential users
  • Ownership - Goes above and beyond to complete the job and has a relentless drive to achieve results; is indepedent and self-directed, and takes initiatives with minimal directions or supervision
  • Workflow Management - Sets clear, realistic, and time-bound objectives that align to business growth both short and long-term
  • Entrepreneurial Sprit - Excels in a fast-paced environment and loves the idea of challenging the status quo with a new and better solution
Past product sales experience for research market a plus.
