Postdoctoral position in Oncology using animal models

A Postdoctoral position is available in the group of Dr. Armin Gamper in the Department of Oncology, Division of Experimental Oncology at the University of Alberta. The Gamper lab focuses on studying the DNA damage response and the potential to target it for therapeutic purposes, particularly to improve cancer treatment. Techniques in the lab include novel biochemical tools to dissect signaling pathways, cutting edge microscopy (high throughout and high resolution), and mouse models (including small animal image-guided radiation therapy) (amgamper.weebly.com).

The position requires extensive expertise with mouse models. Familiarity with patient-derived xenografts as well as molecular biology and a background in DNA repair and signaling, chromatin, stem cells or signal transductionare a plus.
