Regeneron currently markets ARCALYST (rilonacept) Injection for subcutaneous use for the treatment of a rare, inherited, inflammatory condition. The company has therapeutic candidates in clinical trials for the potential treatment of cancer, eye diseases and inflammatory diseases, and has preclinical programs in other diseases and disorders.
With a strong research base and product focus, Regeneron is able to understand thoroughly the biology of specific disease states, discover potential therapeutic candidates and evaluate product candidates in clinical trials. Regeneron has developed several proprietary platform technologies, which it has incorporated into a comprehensive system that allows it to accelerate the discovery and design of fully human antibodies and move these candidates rapidly into clinical development.
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate with a BS or MS degree to join an exciting team developing novel tumor therapeutics. The applicant should possess a strong background in laboratory research, and 4 or more years of experience in conducting experiments using in vivo studies in mice as well as standard in vitro cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
' Tumor models in rodents; tissue and tumor
dissection; blood draws from mice, drug
treatments; injections (IV, IP, SQ, Tail
Vein) and basic small animal techniques;
xenograft tumor models; orthotopic and/or . Histology, Tissue cutting and staining,
transgenic tumor models Immunofluorescence, immunoh istochemistry
' In vitro skills such as cell culture, basic
molecular biology would be a plus

Experience:
Bachelor's Degree. Master's degree would be an advantage, but not necessary
5-8 years of experience as a research associate or similar position in academic or industry setting
Experience:
Qualified individuals must be organized and detail oriented, be familiar with various stages of tumor experiments, including preparation of tumor cells in vitro, implantation of tumors, basic treatment procedures (IV, IP, SC), monitoring of mouse health, and collection of tumors and tissues. Basic molecular and cellular biology skills (western blotting, FACS, ELISA) as well as experience in tissue processing or histology would be an asset. The applicant must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and will be expected to work effectively in a stimulating team environment.
