The person selected for this position will work in the state-of-the-art Biomedical Science Tower and study the pathogenesis of SIV infection in pathogenic and nonpathogenic SIV infections of Asian and African nonhuman primates (NHP), with particular emphasis on interventions aimed to eradicate HIV/SIV cure and reduce inflammation and HIV/SIV-related comorbidities. Candidates should have a PhD/MD degree and be familiar with basic techniques in molecular virology, cell biology, immunology and pathology. Research experience in SIV/HIV virology, adaptive and innate NHP immunology, SIV pathogenesis is highly desirable. Individuals with experience working with nonhuman primates are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
