Location: Bordeaux, France

The Cortical Plasticity Group at the Neurocentre Magendie (Bordeaux France) is seeking to recruit a postdoctoral researcher to join their group in fall 2017.

In this project, we are examinig the pathophysiological modification of neocortical circuits in different models of autism spectrum disorder. To probe changes in crucial cellular parameters in these transgenic mouse models, we will use a combination of in vitro patch-clamp and two-photon calcium imaging approaches together with single-cell RNA sequencing and pharmacology.

Excellence will be a primary criterion for selection, but experience in electrophysiology and calcium imaging are a bonus. The team is based at the Neurocentre Magendie, and INSERM research institute, and member of the Bordeaux Neurocampus - a centre of excellence for neuroscience research in France. The day-to-day language is English, but support would be povided for learning French if the candidate so wishes.
