The successful candidate will be working in cancer biology. The ptofessional research assistant (PRA) will perform a range of molecular and cellular biology experiments including PCR, qPCR, RNA work, immunostaining, western blotting, ELISA and flow cytometry. The PRA will manage mouse colonies and conduct necropsies, drug treatments and surgeries such as grafting of human skin or 3D skin equivalents on immunocompromised mice.
Experience in basic laboratory techniques, handling of human or mouse tissues, immunohistochemistry (IHC)/immunofluorescence (IF), and brightfield/fluorescence microscopy is required.
The PRA for this position needs to be detail-oriented, very well-organized, able to work independently and in a team environment, capable of following strict standard operating procedures for routine assays, and capable of developing new assays. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are expected.
