A post-doc opportunity is offered by the Biopharmaceuticals in Animal Cells Lab of Instituto Butantan to work in the development of a humanized anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody. In the past the murine version of the anti-CD3 was produced by the group and tested in the clinic for graft rejection control. Being an immunomodulator with therapeutic potential for tolerance induction, it is mandatory the obtainment of its humanized version. To cope with that, the post-doc candidate should be able to construct vectors for antibody expression with productivity and stability and design the full IgG genes. An alternative humanization process may be necessary.
PhD in Sciences, Genetics, Immunology or Molecular Biology, acquired after 2012.
Capacity to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Solid previous experience in molecular biology techniques.
Knowledge in antibody genes and flow cytometry is appreciated.
Fluency in English language is required.
Candidates should send, until April 28 2017, a research/motivation statement, their CV and two recommendation letters
Location: Instituto Butantan, Av. Vital Brasil 1500, São Paulo, SP
