The purpose of this position is to provide the GeneLab Project with risk and configuration management support. The incumbent will manage the project risks per the NASA standards. They will work with Project management and functional leads to identify, track and report risk status monthly. The incumbent will also provide configuration management support for all project documentation, both utilizing Confluence and the SCF Branch Engineering Release Center. The top candidate will also assist with development of project level documentation, organization and preparation for reviews and support functional teams with all other related activities.
The incumbent shall:
â¢ Lead Risk Management efforts for GeneLab, including, but not limited to, identifying, tracking and reporting project risks, using NASA standard Risk Management policy and practices.
â¢ Organize and convene monthly project risk management meetings.
â¢ Insure Project maintains strong configuration control on documentation through use of Confluence and / or the SCF Branch Engineering Release Center.
â¢ Editing and review project text for clarity e.g. project documents for project reviews such as the system definition reviews (SDRs), preliminary design reviews (PDRs), etc.
â¢ Lead activities and other task support as required by the GeneLab Project Managers.
The incumbent shall have as a minimum a Bachelorâs with 4+ years of experience or Masterâs with 2+ years of experience in a technical field or business administration or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
â¢ Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
â¢ Familiarity with common computer applications, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel or their equivalents.
Desired Education, Experience, Skills or Training
â¢ Experienced with NASA Project and risk management policies.
â¢ Understanding and experience with data system development.
â¢ Experience with using of Confluence for project communication and internal configuration management.
â¢ A minimum of 5 years of experience with NASA Projects and/or risk management

This position does not offer relocation.
