Postdoctoral Fellowships in Pharmacology of Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Description: The Laboratory of Phytomedicines, Pharmacology and Biotechnology (PhytoPharmaTech), Institute of Biosciences, UNESP (São Paulo State University) is now accepting proposal for Postdoctoral Fellowships in Pharmacology of Inflammatory Bowel disease supported by FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation).
Aims – The objective of our multidisciplinary approach is to explore microRNAs role in both ulcerative colitis and Crohns’s disease patients in order to identify specific microRNAs useful to differential diagnosis as well as to determine microRNA profile in two experimental models of intestinal inflammation (DSS and TNBS models in rats and mice).
Requirements - The ideal candidates will have a doctoral degree in Pharmacology or in closely related scientific fields. General knowledge and proven operation experience with experimental models of intestinal inflammation and gene expression studies as well as availability for integrative development research between Basic and Clinical Pharmacology areas, including personal contact with patients will be essential. Indeed, proven experience in evaluation of cytokine profile and animal manipulation are necessary.
