Research Assistant/technician in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Research Technician position funded by a NIH grant is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Sudha Sharma, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Howard University College of Medicine. The laboratory is interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms of DNA damage and repair, and delineating diverse roles played by specific DNA repair proteins. Ongoing projects involve cell based assays, proteomic approach for protein-protein interactions, gene expression analysis, genomic approaches for DNA-protein interactions, and in vitro biochemical assays using recombinant proteins. REQUIREMENTS: Candidates with recent Masters/PhD degree and strong backgrounds in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology are encouraged to apply. Individual with prior experience is preferred.
