Postdoctoral Position in Chemical Biology and Directed Evolution

A multi-year postdoctoral position is available in the Van Deventer Laboratory. This opportunity lies at the interface of chemical biology and directed evolution with potential applications in targeting the tumor microenvironment. The qualified applicant should be skilled in molecular biology techniques and have at least one of the following additional areas of expertise: chemical biology; protein engineering; synthetic chemistry; synthetic biology; yeast genetics; cancer biology. In the laboratory, the researcher will study strategies for enhancing genetic code manipulation in yeast and apply noncanonical amino acid-compatible yeast display to the discovery of novel molecules with therapeutic potential.
