Post-doctoral fellowship available in computational biology/integrative genomics. The position is in the Channing Division of Network Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. Brigham and Women’s Hospital is consistently ranked one of the top 10 hospitals in the United States, and the second largest recipient of NIH funding among independent hospitals, with over 1000 principal investigators. The Division of Network Medicine is a research division within the Department of Medicine whose goal is to define the etiology and reclassify complex disease using network- and systems-based approaches, and includes some of the largest population-based and pulmonary cohorts in the world.

The fellow will be responsible for analysis of transcriptome and microRNA sequencing data and integration with genotype, genome sequencing and other ‘omics datasets within large studies of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), the third leading cause of death in the United States.  Successful candidates should have PhD in statistics, computational biology, bioinformatics, genetics, or a related field. Experience in RNA sequencing, network analysis, and/or respiratory disease is beneficial, and knowledge of R/Bioconductor is required. The applicant should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Salary is commensurate with experience.
