Postdoctoral Position in the group of Véronique Orian-Rousseau, Karlsruhe, Germany
I am looking for a creative and motivated postdoctoral scientist to join my research group at the Institute of Toxicology and Genetics, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Karlsruhe, Germany. Our group focuses on the study of the molecular mechanisms of action of cell adhesion molecules in tumor progression and metastasis with a focus on CD44. We have recently demonstrated the collaboration of CD44v6 and the MET receptor tyrosine kinase in pancreatic cancer (Matzke-Ogi et al., Gastroenterology 2016). The proposed project aims at understanding the role of CD44 in the formation of pre-metastatic and metastatic niches in pancreatic cancer. Candidates should have a PhD in cancer or a related field and should be experienced in molecular and cellular biology methods. Experience in animal experiments and in FACS analysis is highly recommended. Applicants should have at least one paper as first author in a peer-reviewed journal. Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English are expected. Please send a motivation letter and a complete CV containing a list of publications, a summary of past research and contact information of 2 to 3 referees to veronique.orianrousseau kit.edu. The position is available immediately for 1 year renewable 2 more years. |
