The Software Developer will be responsible for software analysis and development in support of projects and initiatives within the OmniSeq IT team. They will collaborate with clinical informatics, bioinformatics, others in the IT group, and other stakeholders to create or refine analysis tools, user interfaces, data visualization tools, and customer facing web interfaces.
Work within a team of software developers focused on developing software systems and web interfaces to support the initiatives of OmniSeq
â¢Gather requirements and understand the end userâs needs
â¢Develop software to implement the gathered requirements
â¢Create documentation for requirements and design
â¢Test, debug, and maintain existing systems
â¢Provide operational support for end users
Qualifications and Skills
â¢Experience with unit testing and other automated testing frameworks
â¢Experience working within software development life cycles
â¢Software engineering experience in either bioinformatics or supporting the life sciences in a regulated environment is preferred but not required
â¢Experience with relational databases, including MySQL and Oracle
â¢Experience with source code management systems
â¢Ability to communicate with end users to collect and write requirements
â¢Team oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
â¢Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented startup environment
â¢You must be eligible to work in the US. Visa Sponsorship is NOT available
Required Education and Experience
â¢Bachelorâs degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience
