The problem is clear: we don’t know nearly enough about Adipose Tissue Disorders. We’re going to change that.
World renowned doctor Karen L. Herbst, one of the foremost researchers and advocates for those with adipose tissue disorders (ATDs), is leading the charge to create a new Program for Adipose Tissue Disorders at the University of Arizona. This collaborative Program will concentrate UA resources and faculty to study these disorders like never before.
We present investment opportunities that reflect your passion for and commitment to finding real solutions for those facing the life-altering effects of ATDs. Each of these opportunities will advance immediate program goals while building value in an endowment that will sustain TREAT far into the future.
The fat of Adipose Tissue Disorders can cripple, forming hard marble-like pieces in the tissue anywhere on the body. These extremely painful growths can deeply affect quality of life, often leading to other devastating conditions like obesity, metabolic disease, diabetes, depression, joint damage, and much more.
Even worse, right now, those who struggle with the disorders are left with almost nowhere to turn for help. Few doctors today even know that Dercum’s Disease or Lipedema exist, let alone how to help and fix the problem. This leads many scrambling from doctor to doctor in a scary and desperate search for answers.
We are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to help make the TREAT program a success. This is a full time position with benefits.
The 1.00 FTE Postdoctoral Research Associate I - Division of Endocrinology position is posted onhttps://uacareers.com as Job # P20152. The position posting will be Open Until Filled.
